Looking for personalized chess instruction to help your child improve their game? Our classes offer lessons tailored to each student’s skill level—from beginner to advanced.

How to Choose the Right Class for Your Child

  • Beginner (Chess 101) – If your child is new to chess or has little experience, this is the best starting point.

  • Intermediate (Chess 102) – If your child has completed Chess 101, participated in our after-school program, or has a chess rating of 1000 or below, they belong here.

  • Advanced – If your child has a rating of 1100+, we recommend private lessons for a more customized learning experience.

Beginner
(Chess 101)

Perfect for those who are new to chess.

Learn the fundamentals of chess, including board setup, piece movement, check, and checkmate.

Intermediate
(Chess 102)

For those who have completed CHESS 101, participated in our after-school program, or have a chess rating of 1000 or below.

Students will develop essential middle-game and endgame strategies while strengthening their understanding of key principles throughout the course.

For those with a rating of 1100+.
